It has happened to all of us,

so I know you can imagine it with me.

You had beautiful family photos taken and now have lots of digital files sitting on your computer. You look at them on the screen and you think - now, what do I DO with them? You invested all of this time, effort, and money into these photos between finding the right photographer, the perfect location, and the coordinating outfits. Now is the most important moment though. Time to print. I’m here to help.

Here are my top 3 places to print and why.

1 - Order prints through your photographer

Whether it is with me or someone else, ordering prints and products through your photographer is THE BEST option. I sync my editing to my print lab’s settings. That means the colors in the physical prints will come out how I intended them to look. I also make sure the image is centered properly, etc. Prints and products from a Professional print lab are more costly, but you 100% get what you pay for. High quality that will literally last for 100 years. Plus they ship fast.

2 - Snapfish

If you are just ordering prints and want something less expensive than a professional print lab, I would go with Snapfish. The down sides are they take a while to print/ship and their shipping costs are high.

One printing method I would NOT recommend is printing through Shutterfly, Walgreens and other similar stores. The print quality is low and you might run into issues especially with print canvases or other larger products. I did a test order from Shutterfly and I could see lines through the prints. They were also all a bit soft, but I know all the images were in focus. With larger products like canvases, these website sometimes change the file when it is uploaded which can result in less than optimal print results.

Happy Printing! Send me a message if you have any other questions or you know of other online labs that are worth a look.
